LOCKETT PASSES AWAY Sad news came to an Anthony family this week from the far away Philippine Islands. Mr. M. S. LOCKETT received word from the war department at Washington to the effect that the department had been advised by cablegram of the death of Wesley LOCKETT, which occurred on the 30th of June. Wesley LOCKETT was known to a great many Harper County people. He was born in this county, raised here and lived here the greater part of his life. He was a young man only 25 years of age and was a soldier in the army of the United States. He had only four months longer to have served in the islands, then the troop to which he belonged would have been ordered to the homeland. His death was a peculiarly sad one for his parents because they knew nothing of his illness and because they could not be with him at the end. - Anthony (Kansas) Bulletin Wesley LOCKETT was a brother of Roy T. LOCKETT of this city, who has the sympathy of all in this sad bereavement.
