MANNIX, for six years past treasurer of Nye county, died at his home in Tonopah Monday evening last from stomach and kidney troubles from which he has been ailing for a number of years. Mr. MANNIX came to Nevada in the rush of 1904, settling in Rhyolite where he established the Bullfrog Miner. There being a vacancy in the treasurership of Nye county, Mr. MANNIX was appointed to fill the position and has twice since been elected to fill the same position. He was a man of sterling qualities and his death will be keenly regretted by all who enjoyed his friendship.
