MARTIN, mother of Dr. Roy W. MARTIN of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Myrta H. LINN of Kansas City, Mrs. Mary NORRIS of Upton, Wyoming, Frank T. MARTIN of Omaha, Neb., and Chas. J. MARTIN of Philadelphia. These with two brothers and two sisters are left to mourn the loss. Phila A. WOOD was born in Conquest, N.Y., March 28, 1844, and was married to Gabriel R. MARTIN in Table Rock in 1872. Mrs. MARTIN and her husband were members of the Methodist church. Her faithful Christian life was evidenced by her daily actions. In her last illness she manifested wonderful patience and resignation in the inevitable all through her great suffering. All that the loving care of friends and the best medical skill could do was in vain and death only came to the relief of the sufferer. Dr. Roy W. MARTIN of this city was on his way to the bedside of his mother at the time of her death, although he had but just returned to Las Vegas from Table Rock. Mrs. MARTIN and the children were still at the old home. The many close friends of the family here extend their sincere sympathy to the sorrowing ones.
