The body was buried Friday morning, but Coroner HARKINS has ordered it disinterred today and will hold an inquest to try to fix the responsibility for the death, this evening. LAS VEGAS AGE 7/22/1916 INQUEST ON MASSI Last Saturday evening the exhumed body of Barth MASSI was viewed by a coroner's jury composed of J. M. ULLOM, T. L. KINNEAR, H. L. ADAMS, L. MARCO, A. C. FRENCH and R. E. LAKE. A verdict was returned to the effect that deceased came to his death on July 13 from the effects of injuries caused by his jumping from a handcar on July 10, to avoid being struck by the second section of train 82. It seems that the men working near Lieth, on the track, had started for the section house on their car when the train over took them. All jumped before the collission {sic} and none received any serious injuries except MASSI, who suffered a fracture of the skull. The train did not hit the handcar with sufficient force to derail it.
