  ROBERT MATHER JR. Robert Lee Mather Jr., 93, a gifted general contractor, 
avid golfer, fisherman, loving father and husband, passed away peacefully Sept. 
17, 2015. Bob was born Aug.22, 1922, in Kentucky, and served honorably in the 
European theater during World War II. Bob leaves behind his daughter, Susan 
Marxen, and her children, Gary Marxen and Amy Jennings; his loving wife, 
Gertrude, and her children, Jeri Conklin, Stan Tory and Candy Martin; seven 
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Viewing will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, 
Sept. 25, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Celebration of life and 
reception will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Christ Church Episcopal, 
2000 Maryland Parkway
