Henderson Home News, 1/12-18/2006
Ruth Mathewson, 90, of Las Vegas, died Jan. 9.

The 60-year resident was born Oct. 1, 1915 in Carson, Iowa.  She worked at the 
Sears store on Fremont Street and later worked with her second husband, Bill 
Mathewson, when he had Bill's Carburetor and Electrical in Henderson. 

She was preceded in death by husbands, James Pearson and William Mathewson, and 
son, Don Pearson.

She is survived by her sister, Lucille Hemrich of Gardner, Kan.; daughter, Mary 
Pearson Kimball of Las Vegas; step-daughters, Judy Mathewson Nye Earl of Las 
Vegas, and Sandra Mathewson Kupper of San Jose, Calif.; step-son, Brent 
Mathewson of Amargosa; grandchildren, Joseph and James Kimball, Bradley, 
Michael, Catherine and Elizabeth Kupper, Christina Nye Carroll, Frankie Nye 
Hutchings, Charles Nye and Michelle Mathewson; great-grandchildren, Ashley, 
Lorae, Karyssa and Chance Kimball, Heather Kupper Berry, Bryce, Cayden and 
Clhoe Kupper, Nicholas Hutchings and Danielle Nye; great-great-grandchildren, 
Madison and Alyssa Berry.

Services will be 2 p.m. Jan. 14 at Palm Mortuary-Henderson.

Palm Mortuary-Henderson handled arrangements.
