She was born Nov. 7, 1980, in Las Vegas. She attended Western High School and worked in the hotel industry, which included the Excalibur, 4 Queens and Bally's. Most knew her as Precious. She was a very friendly, caring, well known and kind person who always had a smile for everyone she met. Precious she was known as, and precious she was. So precious that God called her name and her spirit returned to Him. Preceding her in death, one year ago to date; a great-grandmother, Ella Lewis. She is survived by her parents, Christopher and Diella Newell; two brothers, Christopher Jr. and Antwan; three sisters, LaQuinta, Latasha and Shenika, all of Las Vegas; four grandparents, Julius and Lottie Robinson of Las Vegas, and Clarence and Cleo Young of Arlington, Texas; two God children, two nephews, one niece, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends; and one very special best friend for 17 years, Kristen Cherry. Viewing will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 22, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at Carver Baptist Church, 1221 J St., Las Vegas, NV 89106.
