STRANGER FOUND DEAD FROM NATURAL CAUSES

A man whose name is supposed to be B. W. Norton, was found dead 
in bed in his room Thursday eveing at six o'clock.  Investigation showed 
that he had been dead about 17 hours.  He was undressed and in a 
position of natural repose and it is apparent that death resulted from 
natural causes.

On the dead man's coat was a tag with the name B. W. Norton.  In the 
pocket was a card, "Norton & Turpen, 1320 San Pablo Ave., Oakland, 
Cal.  Coroner Lillis sent a wire to this address and received the reply 
that such a firm of painters had formerly occupied that location, leaving 
about a year ago.  No other information as to the man's identy has been 
obtained.
