Mrs. Perkins had been confined to her bed for almost a year as a result of a fall that caused a fracture of her hip. Mrs. Perkins crossed the plains from her birthplace, Caldwell, Missouri, with her parents when she was only two years old. The family settled in Salt Lake City and in 1862 moved to St. George, Utah. When seventeen years of age she was married to Ute W. Perkins and moved to Overton in 1882. Mrs. Perkins was the mother of 13 children, Ute, Eva, Joe, John, Pearl, Mary, Ralph, Fay, Lu, Clara, George and Sadie. Mrs. Perkins for many years was one of the most enthusiastic workers of the L.D.S. church. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Overton.
