Mike was born Dec. 3, 1954, in Spokane, Wash. He graduated from North Central High School and later lived in Seattle, and Stamford, Conn. In 1988, he moved to Las Vegas, and called it home for 27 years. Mike's passions were cars and sports, particularly baseball and horse racing. He worked in the restaurant industry for many years. When he moved to Las Vegas, his love for baseball landed him a food management position at Cashman Field (home of the Las Vegas 51's AAA Baseball Club). Then for the last 25 years Mike worked in the sports handicapping industry. He worked for Real Sports for 24 years prior to his death. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anne Pupo. He is survived by his wife, Catherine; brothers, Leonard, Paul (Donna) and Joseph (Ruthie); sister, JoAnne (Michelle); as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a devoted husband, brother and friend, and loved all deeply. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, St. Michael the Archangel's Day, at St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas.
