RALPH, former justice of the peace in Las Vegas, died in Santa Ana, Cal., April 16th, according to word received by Mrs. Joe SMITH. Judge with Mrs. RALPH came to Vegas in 1903 and was a prominent character here during the early days of the town. He married his wife, Barbara, at Tacoma, Wash., in 1890, and April 15th was their 27th anniversary. He was 74 years of age. All of the older residents of Vegas remember these good people and sincerely sympathize with the widow in her bereavement. LAS VEGAS AGE 4/28/1917 JUDGE JACOB RALPH Judge Jacob RALPH, whose passing was noted in the issue of last week, died April 16th at Santa Ana, Cal. Heart trouble and dropsy were the causes of death. A letter informs us that he was married to Miss Barbara Caroline DREHER, who survives him, 27 years and one day before the date of his death. Judge RALPH was a native of Denmark and served in the Danish war in 1864 with distinction. He was a 32d degree Mason. He leaves surviving him, besides his widow, two brothers and a sister. The death of her husband is the second bereavement Mrs. RALPH had suffered recently, her mother, Mrs. Viktor DREHER having passed away at the RALPH home in Santa Ana, January 19th, 1917.
