He was a previous resident of Las Vegas for eight years and a lifetime resident of Nevada. A Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and a veteran of the Nevada National Guard, he was born Jan 28, 1925 in Ruth, and was a former game warden and the first driver education instructor for the State of Nevada in the 1940s. He is survived by his daughters, Celia Ranson-Jameson of Las Vegas and Debbie MacBride of Silver Peak; sons Ray of Boise, Idaho, Edward III of Silver Peak, Mark of Lovelock and Chuck of Reno; stepson Craig Ross of Mina; brother, Joe of Carson City, sister, Bonnie Waugh of Sparks; seven grandchildren and two step- grandchildren. Services are private. The family requests donations be made to the Veterans Administration for the Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City. Northern Nevada Memorial Cremation & Burial Society, Reno, handled arrangements.
