Deborah graduated from Basic High School and attended Tennessee State University for two years. Deborah was employed by the Clark County School District. Deborah accepted Christ at a young age and joined Victory Baptist Church. She loved children and enjoyed traveling. Deborah was known as "The Potato Salad Queen." Everyone loved her potato salad. Deborah loved her family and her children. She leaves to mourn in her passing, her mother, Betty; son, Waylon; and daughter, Tenaya. She has one sister, Alice (Alice's husband, Orius); four brothers; David, Barry (Barry's wife, Tara), Jonathan (Jonathan's wife, Lisa) and Oscar; and a host of relatives and friends. A visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday, July 23, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, at Victory Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. Interment to follow at Palm Valley View Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. The family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
