LANE REESE Lane Linder Reese, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, following a 
short battle with throat cancer. He was born Aug. 11, 1933, to Amy and Joseph 
Reese. He spent a lot of his years in Kanab, Utah, yet resided in Las Vegas, 
for over 50 years. Lane married Anna Lou Frost in 1953 and they had 6 children 
together. They were married until 1972. In 1977, Lane married Sylvia 
Westmoreland and intertwined her family with his. Lane served in the U.S. Army 
for two years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his oldest daughter, 
Patsy (Gary) Clough; and his wife, Sylvia Westmoreland. Lane is survived by 
his five children, Steven (Lola) of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Bradley (Robin) of 
Sequim, Wash., Laurie (Randy) Carlson of Salt Lake City, Curtis (Diane) of San 
Clemente, Calif., and Kristine (Paul) Watkins of Las Vegas; stepson, Bob (Kay) 
Taylor; siblings, JoAnn (Vane) Campbell of Parowan, Utah, Sharon (James) 
Willis of Kanab, Kenley (Darlene) Reese of Mesquite, Neil (Mary) Reese of 
Kanab, Jeff Reese of Las Vegas, Leslie (Susan) Reese of Yuma, Ariz., and Carol 
Reese of Providence, Utah. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; and 17 
great- grandchildren. As well as many extended family members of Sylvia and 
close friends throughout Utah and Nevada. We will miss our father, 
grandfather, poppa and friend. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, 
Feb. 26, in Mt. Carmel, Utah, under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
