Lisa was born May 26, 1955, in Durham, N.C., to Vernon and Lorraine Rigsbee. The family moved to Miami in 1956. Lisa's childhood was a happy one spent playing on the beach and swimming in the ocean. She graduated from Norland High and worked for a Levolor Blinds Manufacturing Company before moving to Las Vegas in the early 1980's. She began her casino career as a change girl at La Concha and moved to the Westward Ho cage as a cashier. She was hired by the Golden Nugget cage and began a 20-year career with the company. Lisa transferred to the Mirage in 1989 as a member of the opening team. She left the company in 2005 and joined Moneytree in January 2006, working there until her passing. Lisa was a kind and generous person with a deep compassion for animals and the homeless. Her rescue cat, Zeek, and rescue bunny, Clive, brought immense joy to her life. Lisa's pet project, Lele's Socks, provided hats, gloves and socks for the homeless. Each December, she bought provisions for 150-200 people, dropping off her donations to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission to be distributed during the Christmas dinner. She was an organ donor and gave the gift of sight to two recipients. Lisa will permanently rest at the Neptune Memorial Reef off Key Biscayne, Fla. The undersea memorial site serves to rebuild coral reefs and increase fish populations. Lisa will continue giving by promoting the generation and perpetuation of life in the ocean. She is survived by her sisters, Amy Jo Saccomano and Sue (Barry) Flanagan; and nephews, Ryan Rigsbee, John Flanagan and Brent Flanagan. In lieu of flowers, please honor her life by continuing the Lele's Socks tradition.
