ROSS, aged 68 years and 3 days. Mrs. ROSS was with him to comfort him to the end. The funeral was held from the chapel of Connell Co., Los Angeles, under the auspices of the Odd Fellows, and interment was in the Los Angeles Odd Fellows' cemetery. ------ John R. ROSS was one of the old residents of Las Vegas and had hundreds of friends here who sincerely regret his demise. He was born in Ohio, October 18, 1849. In 1880 he was united in marriage with Millie M. MC CONNELL, who became his faithful and loving helpmate to the end of his life and who still survives to mourn his death. Of the marriage three children were born: Mrs. W. D. CHRIST, of Moberly, Mo., Mrs. John B. MC CRARY, of Moberly, Mo., and Mrs. Linley HARPENING, of Long Beach, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. MC CRARY came from Missouri to attend the funeral and Mr. HARPENING from Tonopah. The sincere sympathy of the entire community goes out to those who mourn the passing of this good and upright man.
