Steven Salayich, 67, died Thursday in a local hospital.  He was a resident of 
Las Vegas since 1957.

A retired supervisor for an airline, he was born Aug. 9, 1925.

He is survived by his wife Emily; daughter, Violet Hawkes; and son Vincent, all 
of Las Vegas and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 9:15 a.m. today in Palm Valley View Mortuary, with burial 
in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.  The family requests donations to Nathan 
Adelson Hospice.
