AL. SNIPES DEAD

    Las Vegas people were shocked to learn that, just before noon 
Wednesday, Al. SNIPES had taken his own life. The deed was committed in 
the little house on First street where he has made his home for some 
time. The cause is attributed to despondence over business troubles.  
He has lived among us many years and had many friends any of whom would 
have been glad to have helped him had they known that he was in need of 
a friendly hand or a comforting word. Funeral services will be held at 
the undertaking parlor Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
