F. STONE of this city, died at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, Friday, September 20, of an acute illness, the nature of which has not yet been determined, or announced. There were many rumors as to the cause of the young man's death, but none have been substantiated and it is evident that most of them were based upon no knowledge of the case whatsoever. Young STONE was an employe [sic] of the Union Pacific shops and was attacked with his illness September 11. His condition almost at once assumed a serious aspect and on the 13th he was taken to the Los Angeles hospital. Besides the parents, he leaves a brother and sister in this city. The funeral has been arranged to be held Sunday from the Roberts undertaking chapel in this city. Rev. Leo C. KLINE of the Methodist church will have charge of the service.
