He was born Oct. 25, 1941, in Oswego, Kan. He resided in Las Vegas since 1946. Larry was a member of the Stardust Hotel family for over 40 years starting as a waiter and working his way into showroom captain and restaurant/beverage management. He was a member of Nellis Lodge #46 F.& A.M., Scottish Rite, Las Vegas Zelzah Shrine, Royal Order of Jesters and a long term member of Vegas Antique Model Plane Society. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Vance; mother, Isaletta Prine; and stepfathers, Richard Prine and Ben Carson. He is survived by his wife, Suzy Vance; four children, Ron (Denisa) Vance, Todd Vance, Ken (Julie) Vance and Sherry (Jeff) Ruby; nine grandchildren; two great-grand- children; brother, Richard Vance; stepmother, Ruby Carson; and extended family comprised of the Carson, Dawson and Vance families. Always and forever our love and strength, your family and friends. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 26, at the Masonic Memorial Temple, located at 2200 W.
