JOHN VENTURA John Ventura, 79, of Las Vegas, passed away Nov. 16, 2011. He 
graduated from Albany, N.Y. School of Pharmacy and served as a hospital 
corpsman in the U.S. Navy. John had an extensive career in sales and public 
relations and was publisher of the Mohawk Valley Times Newspaper. John was 
active in the Knights of Columbus and other civic organizations. He is 
survived by his wife, Diane Ventura; and siblings, Rufus (Lucille) Ventura, 
Sam (Toni Garguilo) Ventura, Jeanie (Kenneth) Elliott, Marie (John) Scialdone 
and Louie (Jeanette) Ventura. Rosary will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 
followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, both at St. Francis de Sales Roman 
Catholic Parish, 1111 N. Michael Way, Las Vegas, NV 89108. Burial will be at 2 
p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in 
Boulder City. Donations in John's memory may be made to a favorite charity.
