WISHER, age 65, owner of the Overland Hotel and pioneer citizen = of this city, was found dead Wednesday morning in the Baltimore Hotel, = Los Angeles, according to a telegram received here Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. WISHER left Las Vegas for Los Angeles Friday night in apparent good = health, stating to his friends that he intended to take a little = vacation and that he would stay in Los Angeles two or three days and = then leave for Puget Sound, Washington. Mr. WISHER was a member of the Elks and Odd Fellows Lodges. An effort = has been made by Attorney Leo McNamee and others to get in touch with = the deceased's relatives. It is known that there is a married daughter = and a brother living in California. The daughter is reported to be living at Banning, California. The = whereabouts of the brother is unknown. Mr. WISHER was well known by the older residents in Las Vegas. Pioneer = citizens recall that he passed through Southern Nevada some forty odd = years ago and did contract work on the railroad before the city was = built. The estate, left by the deceased, is valued at approximately $75,000 = consisting principally of real estate and the hotel and several other = smaller buildings. No funeral arrangements have been made. Pending the search for the = daughter, the body is at a Los Angeles undertaking parlor by charge of = the B.P.O.E. of that city. Latest reports state that the daughter, Mrs. Wisner GENTHER, has been = located at Banning, California and the funeral will be held in Los = Angeles. The services will be conducted by the B.P.O.E. Lodge, of which = the deceased was a member.
