DIED

WOODS:  In this city after a lingering illness, Saturday morning Sept. 
12, 1914, Mrs. Arthur WOODS, aged 38 years.  She leaves surviving her, 
her husband, Arthur WOODS, two grown children, Lucille and John, her 
mother Mrs. F. O. GORMAN and her sister, Mrs. Ollie HAWKINS.  The mother 
and sister as well as her husband were at the bedside when she died.
    Mr. and Mrs. WOODS are old time residents of this portion of the 
desert, having been in the hotel and mercantile business at Leastalk and 
later at Roach.  Many travellers will note with regret the passing of 
this kindly woman who endeared hereself to all.  We extend our sincere 
sympathy to the sorrowing ones.
