CAROLYN YELTON-THOMPSON Carolyn Sue Yelton-Thompson, 73, of Henderson, went to 
be with the Lord June 7, 2013. She was born May 16, 1940, to Helen Dunlap and 
Clarence Cooper Yelton, in Indianapolis. The seventh of eight children, she 
moved to Las Vegas in 1946 and graduated from Rancho High School in 1958. She 
managed a local bail bonds office for 30 years and was a homemaker. She enjoyed 
reading, movies and trivia. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her 
siblings, Betty Pritchard, Margaret Ann Oshier, Robert Yelton, Jane Lesher, 
Jimmy Yelton and Nancy Hampton. She is survived by her husband, of 53 years, 
Jim Thompson; son, Todd Thompson (Suzy); grandchildren, Sarah and Nicholas; 
sister, Mary Lou Thrush; many nieces and nephews; and many loving friends. 
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, June 15, at Hope Church, 850 E. 
Cactus Ave., Las Vegas.
