Las Vegas Review Journal - 4/25/1989
Joseph Frank Zach, 62, died Sunday.  He was a 30-year resident of Las Vegas.



A Marine Corps veteran of World War II in the Pacific.  He was born July 9, 
1926, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was a special equipment instructor for the 
State of Nevada Transportation Department.



He is survived by his wife, Pat of Las Vegas; daughters, Diana of Atlanta and 
Beth Knowles, Dianne Higgins, Sheila Rappel, and Laura Gavaller, all of Las 
Vegas; sons, Jim of Apple Valley, Minn., Joe of Las Vegas and Terry of 
Henderson; sister Agnes Hartman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brothers, Jerry of 
Kingman, Ariz., and Bob of Saint Olaf, Iowa; and 13 grandchildren.



Visitation was scheduled from noon to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. today in 
Palm Valley View Mortuary.  Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Family 
Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.  In lieu of 
flowers, the family requests donations to Heart Association Memorials, 3355 
Spring Mountain Road, Las Vegas, Nev 89102.
