He was born Feb. 26, 1934, in Spirit Lake, Iowa, and resided in Nevada for 52 years. Verlyn was a retired hair stylist and served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He loved to dance and snowboard. Verlyn is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Zesiger; son, Kyle (Lorene) Zesiger; daughters, Debra (Bill) Black and Jeri (Tom) Burke; grandsons, Matthew Warren and Nicholas Burke, all of Las Vegas; brothers, Merlyn Zesiger of Omaha, Neb., and William (Lola) Zesiger of Everly, Iowa; sister, Elva Bargloff; and his beloved puppies, Reggae, Venus and Stevie. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 24, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Donations may be made to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.
