LEON ZORNES Leon "Lon" Zornes, 77, of Henderson, passed away Thursday, Feb. 
10, 2011. He was born Dec. 23, 1933, in Inglewood, Calif., and was a 12-year 
resident of Nevada. Lon served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War was an 
electronics business owner. He was a member of American Legion Post #0040, the 
American Legion Post #0227 and St. Thomas Catholic Church. Lon was preceded in 
death by his son, Leon Roy Zornes. Lon is survived by his wife, Louise Zornes; 
daughter, Patricia (Jeffrey) Jeanne Gilmer; granddaughters, Bethany Gilmer and 
Laurel Miller; and grandson, James Gilmer. Memorial service will be at 6:30 
p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 5317 W. Smoke Ranch 
Road, Las Vegas, NV 89108. Donations can be made to the American Cancer 
Society .
