                             Buckskin

A thriving camp in the northern part of Douglas County, 20 miles from Genoa, 
the county seat, 12 miles from Yerington, the nearest banking point, 20
miles from Wabuska, its shipping place, and 18 miles southeast of Carson
City. Copper is produced in large quantities, the famous Nevada-Douglas mine 
is located here. High values in gold ore are also produced. Long distance
telephone with Yerington, Wabuska and other surrounding places. Daily
stage to same, fare $4.00.
