                             Holbrook

A town located in the southern part of Douglas County, 26 miles southeast 
of Genoa, the county seat, 18 miles southeast of Gardnerville, the banking 
point and shipping station, and 36 miles southeast of Carson City. Has 
telephone connection with Gardnerville and Wellington. Daily stage to 
Carson City, fare $4.50; to Topaz, Cal, fare $1.50 and to Bridgeport, Cal,
fare $6.00.
