Death of Dr. Black.
Dr. E. D. Black died at Genoa last Wednesday night.  He contracted a cold
several days ago, while making a night trip to Markleeville to attend a sick
lady.  He gradually grew worse- suffering considerably from pains in his feet
and limbs, and finally gangrene set in, to which he speedily succumbed.  Dr.
Black was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, April 16, 1821.  He came to this coast
sometime in 1863, and practiced his profession in Markleville, California.  He
moved to Genoa, where he has ever since lived.
