Another Pioneer Gone

Judge John S. Childs of Douglas county died last Thursday.  Deceased was one of
the early settlers of Carson Valley, and before the organization of Nevada
Territory he was Probate Judge of Carson county, Utah, which at that time
comprised nearly all of the present State of Nevada.
