Former Carson Woman is Dead
  Carson, Mar. 2 - (Special) - Mrs. John T. Lone, formerly Edith Howe of this 
city, died in San Francisco last night; according to word received here today 
by friends.  Mrs. Lane had been ill for about a year and went to the coast for 
her health.
  She was a daughter of Prof. H.H. Howe, for many years principal of the 
schools of Carson, and was known throughout Western Nevada as a public 
reader.  Mrs. Lane's mother died in Carson about one year ago, upon which 
occasion Mrs. Lane last visited in this city.  No funeral arrangements were 
announced in the information from San Francisco.
