Harry Mighels. Promptly at one p.m., says the Enterprise, the remains of the deceased journalist, preceded by the Carson detachment of the Grand Army of the Republic, were carred to St. Peters (Episcopal) church. The church was crowded to suffocation, while scores of people waiting outside while the service was going on. Almost the entire population of Carson was present, while delegations from all the surrounding towns were in attendance. The state, United States and county officials were conspicuous in the assemblage. The pall-bearers were Governor Kinkead, Judges Hawley, Beatty and Harris, Captain E.B. Zabtiskie, Messrs. Sessions, Byrne and Wright. The casket was beautifully dressed with wreathes of flowers and crosses of evergreens. Rev. George R. Davis read the funeral service, and delivered a short and impressive sermon.
