Weekly Reno Gazette May 29, 1879
Carson Tribune.
Richard Mills, Sr., father of Al. and Dick Mills, long time residents of this
city, died last evening.   Deceased had for a number of years been afflicted
with asthma and bronchites [sic], and although at times being in seemingly good
health, his death was not unexpected.  On Monday last he was on the street,
apparently hale and hearty for one who had been so long an invalid, but a
relapse occuring [sic], and his system being so saturated, death found an easy
victim and his spirit passed away.  The funeral took place yesterday afternoon.
