                          Charleston

A small postoffice situated on Bruneau river in the northern part of 
Elko County, 85 miles north of Elko, the county seat and banking town, 
and 50 miles northwest of Deeth, the shipping station. The river 
furnishes excellent power for a quartz mill, and an electric plant. 
Has stage communication twice a week with Deeth, fare $5.00
