                               North Fork

Is a small village of 75 inhabitants, located in the northern part of 
Elko County, on the north fork of the Humboldt River, 50 miles 
north of Elko, the county seat, banking place and shipping station. 
Stock raising is the chief industry. Has telephone connection with 
surrounding towns. Tri-weekly stage to Elko, fare $5.00, to Gold Creek,
fare $2.50.
