W. Clemons, whose family reside at Tuscarora, entered the back door of the Humboldt Brewery saloon at Elko, with his right ear cut off, the left one nearly severed and a slight cut on the right side of his throat. He was taken to the hospital where he died a few hours afterward. The Coroner’s jury rendered a verdict that he came to his death by his own hands. The evidence showed that he had been drinking heavily for some time, and that the act was committed during a period of temporary insanity, superinduced by inordinate drink.
