                            Aurora

A town in the southwestern part of Esmeralda County, 34 miles from
Hawthorne, the county seat. Bodie Cal. 10 miles distant, is the nearest 
banking point. Thorn, 40 miles, is its shipping station. Has one
quartz mill. Stage to Bodie, fare $1.00, to Thorn $5.50. Telephone
connection with nearby towns.
