Its object is the scientific investigation of the natural resources of the
State of Nevada, the encouragement of their technical study and the dissemination
of the knowledge thereof, bearing particularly on the mining, metallurgical
and geological conditions and commercial possibilities of the state. Officers,
J W Finch Pres, Capt J A Hassell 1st V-Pres, A F Price 2d V-Pres, F J Swears 
Sec, G V Burton Treas, who together with Major W A Stanton and Sarat C Rudra,
