                             Montelle

A small mining camp situated near East Walker River in the western part of
Esmeralda County, 40 miles west of Hawthorne, the county seat, 50 southeast
of Wabuska, the shipping station and 46 from Yerington, the banking point. 
Mining is the only industry. A good steam quartz mill is in operation.
