                             Palmetto

A small village situated in the southeastern part of Esmeralda County 
near the California boundary line and on the southern slope of the 
Silver Peak Mountains, 45 miles southwest of Goldfield, the banking 
town and shipping point, and 200 southeast of Hawthorne. Has stage to
Lida, 14 miles, fare $3.50.
