Copyright 2001 Lida was a settlement about thirty miles southwest of Goldfield, Nevada. The mining district was discovered by William Scott in 1869 and joined the Silver Peak District on the southeast. The Post Office was transferred from Inyo County, California on April 25, 1873 and served the area until July 30, 1932. It was also known as ALIDA and commemorated the wife of David Buel of Austin. This cemetery lies on a slope up from town on the north side of the town site. It is fenced. There are 26 known unmarked graves.
