Bridgeport Chronicle-Union, 3-25/1899
"On Sunday morning I. N. Farwell, formerly County Clerk of Esmeralda county, 
Nevada, and a resident of Monitor, Alpine county, in its boom days, died at 
Sweetwater, Nev., of hasty consumption, at the age of 62 years.  The deceased 
having belonged to Aurora Lodge, I.O.O.F., so many of them now residing in 
Bridgeport, the members of the Order in Bridgeport conducted the funeral 
services, the remains arriving here from Sweetwater at about 5 o'clock on 
Monday afternoon, and were soon after interred agreeably with the rites of the 
Order, a choir rendering appropriate hymns.  Mr. Farwell, we hear, left a 
married son and daughter in San Luis Obispo county."
