EUREKA MAN DIES

      J. P. RAINE, a pioneer rancher of Eureka county, died in San 
Francisco recently as the result of an operation. He was identified 
with Pine Valley, in Eureka county, for 41 years.
      He leaves two married sons, William S., living near Las Vegas, 
Nevada; James, in California, and a single son, Robert F., who was with 
him in San Francisco when the end came.
      Deceased was a member of Elko Lodge No. 15, F. & A.M. under whose 
auspices the funeral will be held at Palisade this afternoon at 1:30 
o'clock. Rev. E. H. PRICE of Elko will conduct the services, and the 
interment will be in the Palisade cemetery beside that of his deceased 
wife.
