Death of Mrs. Judge Rives
   The wife of Judge Rives, of the Sixth Judicial District of Nevada,
died at Eureka at 9 o'clock yesterday morning. Mrs. Rives had been
a partial invalid for a long time. The Judge is well known to the
bench and bar of Eastern Nevada and his bereavement casts a gloom
over the community. The deceased lady endeared herself to all her
acquaintances by her unselfishness and admirable traits of character.
She was but 28 years old, but no undertaking having charity for its
object was conceived without her counsel. Resolutions of sympathy
will be drafted by the Bar.
