Death of Grand Master Shannon
Alfred E. Shannon, Grand Master of the Odd Fellows of Nevada, and Grand Vice
Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias, died in Eureka Thursday evening, of
pneumonia after a brief illness.  Mr. Shannon was 50 years of age and a native
of Brooklyn.  Deceased was a man universally known and respected, and his demise
will be keenly felt by a large circle of sorrowing friends.
