S. Grass, ex-District Attorney of Humboldt county, died in Winnemucca at half past four o’clock this morning. He had been suffering for some time from inflammation of the liver, and last night being very low, Dr. Bergman was telegraphed for and a special was provided to carry him. The run from Wadsworth to Winnemucca, a distance of 135 miles, was made in a little over four hours. The doctor arrived only a few minutes before Mr. Grass’ demise. Sam Grass was well known throughout the State. He conducted the prosecution in the famous Rover trial, and had for some years been a prominent lawyer in Eastern Nevada. His death has not been entirely unexpected.
