Death of a Reese River Pioneer

John Frost, the first white settler in Reese River Valley, died in Austin
Saturday morning, aged 57 years.  He discovered the famous Manhattan mines in
1862, and has ever since been closely identified with there, being next to the
Superintendent in authority.  He was a member of the Reese River Pioneers and
was buried under the auspices of that society Sunday.
