                             Mesquite

Is a country town of 220 inhabitants, located in the eastern portion of 
Lincoln County, on Virgin River, 100 miles south of Pioche, its county
seat, 40 miles northeast of Moapa, its shipping station, and 55 from St
George, Utah, the banking town. It is an excellent fruit growing section.
Has L D S Church and stage communication tri-weekly with Moapa and 
St George, Utah, fare to each $3.00.
