The first, to which we will invite the reader's attention, is what may be termed the public c cemetery, in which repose all classes and persons who occupied different p positions in life. Unsuccessful efforts have been made to inclose the final resting place of those who have died in Pioche and whose remains have been interred in the public burying ground. Posts have been erected around the lot, but that is all that has been done towards inclosing it. We have before urged the building of a fence around this lot, now rendered sacred as the resting place of denizens of Pioche; but from some cause or other we have not succeeded in awakening public attention to the matter. To the west of the public cemeter is to be found the lo lot selected by the Masonic and Odd Fellows Fraternities for the final in interment of their dead. This ground is handsomely and substantially fenced in, and is a credit to the Masons and Odd Fellows of Pioche. Northwest of this burial ground is the Catholic cemetery, where quite a number of that faith repose, awaiting the sounding of last trump. It, too, is without an inclosure. Not a few of the graves in each of the cemeteries are enclosed by palings, and on a few of them flowers have been strewn. Head-boards are also numerous, yet we insist that the ground which by common consent has been selected for the repose of the dead should be properly inclosed, thta the final sleep of the departed shall not be d disturbed by the tramp of the beasts of the field.
